I’ve always enjoyed numbers, lists, and keeping things organized, but I’ve also always found a lot of fulfillment in helping people. When I started thinking about building a business of my own, I wanted to find a way to bring those two things together.

So I started asking business owners I knew a simple question: “What’s something in your business that would make your life easier if someone took it off your plate?”

Bookkeeping kept coming up. I heard about the stress of trying to get to the books after an already long week, how easily they could get pushed aside, and the frustration that came when everything started piling up.

That’s what led me to OakPoint. I realized bookkeeping could be more than keeping financial records organized. It could be a way to give business owners back some of their time, remove a source of stress, and give them confidence that an important part of their business is being taken care of.

My hope is to grow OakPoint into a name business owners know and trust—one built around giving people more time, less stress, and one less thing to worry about.

Bookkeeping is simply the way I get to do that.
